Location: 1908 Colonel Sam Drive, Oshawa (Hybrid – 2 days remote)
Duration: 12 Months

Position Overview
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Finance ERP Business Analyst to join the FinTech Evolution team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role will support the digital transformation and continuous improvement of Finance processes and technologies, with a primary focus on the ERP Lifecycle Program.
The successful candidate will champion an agile mindset, driving continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) of Finance innovations, contributing to OPG’s commitment to operational excellence and financial strength.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed business process flow diagrams and supporting documentation for Finance processes.
  • Analyze Finance business performance, identifying measurable opportunities to improve efficiency, maturity, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Support business process re-engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate on SAP functional design, providing recommendations and documenting functional specifications to meet business requirements.
  • Research emerging technologies to support Finance process innovations.
  • Define functional and technical requirements across Finance capabilities, including accounting, planning, controllership, and internal controls.
  • Perform detailed analysis of financial results, assessing variances and providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with business partners to manage expectations, negotiate requirements, and foster collaboration.
  • Support multiple projects concurrently, analyzing impacts and recommending solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate seamless delivery of Finance solutions and products.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, IT, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience; 5+ years experience with SAP S4HANA Finance modules, master data modeling, and workflow.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and changing environment while managing multiple projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project).
  • Experience in regulated industries such as utilities, energy, power, mining, or public sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with developing data sets, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps, Microsoft Power BI, Python, and SQL is an asset.
  • Experience with reconciliation processes, business analysis, and financial reporting is desirable.
  • Commitment to integrity and adherence to corporate values and OPG’s Code of Business Conduct.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of SAP Close, Financial Consolidation and Elimination processes within S4HANA.
  • Experience with SAP Fiori, SAC, and CDS Views.
  • Familiarity with Accounts Payables, Fixed Asset Management, Project System Controlling.
