Main Functions: 
 
  • Support laboratory operations by performing routine and non-routine laboratory analyses on certification and in-process samples.  
  • Will be responsible for data entry, control charting, and to prepare samples and ensure accurate data generation and records, in accordance with the standard operating procedures.  
  • Individual is expected to maintain work area – stocking consumables, prepare stock solutions/reagents/standards, completing items on area checklists, and some calibration/maintenance of test equipment. 
  • They will require good communication skills to provide timely feedback on issues with equipment/area, and to flag any atypical or off-spec results to supervision.  
  • This is a fast-paced environment and individual will generally work with minimal supervision once initial training is completed (approximately 4 weeks of post training), requiring good analytical and critical thinking skills.  
  • Safety is a core value and as such, the individual will participate in our safety program and must be able to work safely in a lab environment and flag any hazards or concerns.  
 
 
Skills and Qualifications
 
  • Chemical technology diploma or BSc in Chemistry
  • Computer-literate.  
  • Preferable experience with quality control systems, and 3-10yrs relevant lab experience.  
  • Candidate must be recently mask-fit with a 3M half mask respirator.
