Location: Nisku, AB
Start Date: December 02, 2024
End Date: June 01, 2025
Compensation: $28.00 per hour 
Working Hours: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Saturday OT needs are managed as per business need but should be expected.

Mission
 
The Maintenance Assistants are responsible for ensuring equipment is delivered on time and according to operational demands, and for increasing the utilization and efficiency of assets.
 
Perform standard operations specifically used in the Drill Bit Repair Center to repair fixed cutter drill bits which includes receive, de-box and clean dull drill bits, digital photos, post braze clean up, final bit clean up, OD grinding, paint, label, package and shipping. Perform critical to quality, audits, NDT, visual inspections and process checks. Any previous experience in the oilfield drill bit sector is an asset but not required.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Perform activities as assigned by the Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor or Technician.
  • Work under direct supervision of Technicians or Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Perform low-level, noninvasive maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure that the assigned equipment is maintained according to the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for the Division, the relevant maintenance programs and standard work.
  • Adhere to transactional discipline within TLM business systems to record materials and supplies, labor costs and equipment maintenance performance history such as movements, work orders, parts used and time to maintain.
  • Comply with Division TLM standards.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of culture, initiatives and remedial work plans within the MB to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD).
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.
 
Experience & Exposures: 
 
  • Understanding of maintenance processes and workflows is beneficial.
  • Candidates must complete a drug test and a criminal background check as part of the hiring process.
