Key Responsibilities:
The ITSM Change & Release Management Contractor will be responsible for driving process enhancements to increase speed of changes released into the environment while reducing manual tasks and maintaining stability. This work will be project based and requires expert knowledge with ServiceNow modules including workflow design and form enhancements. The contractor will also support daily operations of change management, ensuring ITSM review and approvals are used for efficient and prompt handling of all IT changes, minimizing the impact of change-related incidents.
- Drive the enhancement of change management process which includes identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Manage ITIL-based change management processes and procedures.
- Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
- Develop and deliver effective communication plans to inform stakeholders about high-impact changes to ensure awareness of dependencies potential impacts on services.
- Provide support coverage during winter holiday downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in IT Change & Release management, preferably in a consulting or contractor role.
- Strong understanding of ITSM principles, processes, and frameworks (e.g., ITIL), with ITIL and Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM tools and platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and develop pragmatic solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence change at all levels of the organization.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
