Description
 
Our client is seeking a Technical CRMR Contractor to support the technical operations and output of the Cybersecurity Risk Management and Reporting (CRMR) team. We’re looking for someone who can provide hands-on technical support in the development of our critical cybersecurity reporting dashboards, data analysis tasks, and database administration support. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to hit the ground running. As the successful candidate will be joining an active and time-critical project, the candidate must pick-up technical nuances quickly and contribute constructive and relevant ideas to support the project’s delivery. Additionally, the Technical CRMR Contractor must build strong relationships with stakeholders, communicate effectively, and proactively seek opportunities to enhance service delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Technical Support:
  • Provide hands-on technical support for the service, supporting the team on complex technical issues related to data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and Databases (e.g. Azure SQL).
  • Support the CRMR team with advanced database administration tasks, working independently and acting as an escalation point for the team.
  • Leverage a strong analytical mindset to dissect and interpret complex datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and insights that drive data-driven decision-making within the CRMR team.
 
Project Support:
  • Follow and support the adoption of Agile methodologies alongside the wider team, actively participating in daily stand-up meetings and goal setting exercises.
  • Work to a project roadmap, ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely and accurate way.
  • Communicate updates and changes to project managers efficiently, ensuring that issues are addressed according to the project plan and associated priority.
  • Be ‘solution-focused’ and think outside of the box when faced with technical challenges, even within tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate agility and flexibility in responding to unplanned, business-critical requests.
 
 
Skills and Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional qualifications) in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Demonstratable experience in database administration and data analysis.
  • Demonstratable experience in Python and PowerBI dashboard development.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing/lake concepts and working with large data sets.
  • Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and Splunk.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
