Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor III – Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient refinery operations. This role manages internal maintenance teams and external Maintenance & Reliability (M&R) contractors, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with site objectives. The role also drives continuous improvement initiatives and participates in the Site Emergency Response team.
The Maintenance Supervisor III – Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient refinery operations. This role manages internal maintenance teams and external Maintenance & Reliability (M&R) contractors, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with site objectives. The role also drives continuous improvement initiatives and participates in the Site Emergency Response team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise maintenance teams to support safe and reliable refinery operations.
- Manage relationships and contracts with M&R and construction service providers.
- Collaborate with Planners and Schedulers to develop resource plans, verify cost estimates, and prioritize maintenance activities.
- Monitor maintenance work to ensure delivery within budget, identify efficiencies, and remove barriers impacting progress.
- Participate as an active member of the Site Emergency Response team.
- Promote continuous improvement in maintenance practices and team performance.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related maintenance/supervisory role.
- Proven experience supervising maintenance teams in industrial operations.
- Strong knowledge of SSHE (Safety, Security, Health, and Environment) practices and maintenance planning.
- Experience managing critical maintenance activities, scheduling, and turnaround planning.
- Familiarity with design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria.
- Effective communication, collaboration, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and heavy workloads.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Strong team orientation and ability to work effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
