Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic
Full time - Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
$41.00 - $45.00 per hour depending on experience

Overview

Our Calgary client is looking for a Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs of generators, pumps and HVAC units with limited or no supervision in a highly skilled, safe, and professional manner. The successful candidate will mainly work on Cummins and John Deer engines. T


Responsibilities


  • This position is 70% shop and 30% field.
  • Follow a consistent and regular schedule to perform various types of maintenance on heavy equipment and various pieces of machinery at various job sites
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair T3 as well as T4 Generators.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair pumps, heaters, HVAC, and CRC units such as dehumidifiers and air movers.
  • Disassembles engines and reassembles after a thorough examination
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and propane systems
  • Diagnose problem areas for any significant wear or tear on the equipment
  • Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs
  • Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
  • Build positive relationships with customers
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must have Generator (power), Pump, or HVAC experience with electrical aptitude
  • Journeyman Off Road Certification or Red Seal in HET is required
  • Ability to work rotationally on call every 2 weeks.
  • Valid driver’s license and recent driver’s abstract will be required
