Enterprise Data Architect – SAP Systems
Job Description
Location: Oshawa, ON (Hybrid, 2 days remote) | Hours: 40/week
- Design and maintain enterprise data architecture for SAP platforms, ensuring alignment with business strategies and best practices.
- Define and manage SAP data models, master and transactional data, and end-to-end data flows.
- Establish and enforce governance standards covering data quality, lineage, metadata, and stewardship.
- Oversee migration, cleansing, harmonization, and transformation for SAP projects and upgrades.
- Develop secure and scalable integration between SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP Data Services, SLT, PI/PO, Integration Suite, and other middleware.
- Architect and optimize SAP BW/4HANA, data lakes, and SAP Analytics Cloud to enable advanced analytics and business intelligence.
- Implement real-time, batch, and event-driven integration patterns to support enterprise reporting and compliance.
- Partner with stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and data stewards to deliver high-value data solutions.
- Lead design reviews, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Provide expert guidance on SAP data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor internal talent and contribute thought leadership to OPG’s SAP and data communities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, with 5+ years specializing in SAP environments (S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud).
- Proven success in SAP data modeling, integration, and analytics design.
- Strong expertise in SAP data management tools (SAP Data Services, SLT, PI/PO, Integration Suite) and analytics platforms.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, metadata management, and compliance frameworks.
- Exceptional problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Certifications in SAP data management, TOGAF, or data governance (DGSP, CDMP) are highly desirable.
- Expertise in SAP data architecture and modeling
- Strong integration, migration, and analytics skills
- Knowledge of governance, compliance, and quality frameworks
- Strategic thinker with solution delivery focus
