Job Description

Position: SAP Test Lead – Implementation & Enterprise Transformation

Location: Ohawa, ON - Hybrid (2 days remote)

Position Overview:
OPG is seeking an experienced SAP Test Lead to oversee and drive end-to-end testing for SAP implementation projects. This role is critical to ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of SAP solutions as part of OPG’s Strategic Transformation Roadmap (STR). You will lead test strategy, planning, and execution while collaborating with business stakeholders, project teams, and third-party partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive SAP testing strategies and plans, covering all phases of testing: unit, integration, system, regression, UAT, performance, and cutover.
  • Lead the end-to-end SAP testing lifecycle, including preparation, execution, defect management, and reporting.
  • Define and manage test environments, data, and tools to ensure efficient and effective testing.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to test analysts and business testers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for SAP testing activities, issues, and escalations.
  • Collaborate with business process owners, functional consultants, developers, and vendors to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Review and develop test cases, scripts, and scenarios for SAP processes, integrations, and custom developments.
  • Oversee defect triage, resolution, and retesting, ensuring timely closure and root-cause analysis.
  • Champion SAP testing tools and automation adoption (e.g., SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM, Tricentis Tosca, Worksoft).
  • Promote continuous improvement in testing processes, metrics, and documentation, sharing best practices across the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of SAP testing experience, including at least 3 years in a lead or manager role on large-scale SAP implementations or upgrades.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or ECC environments, including third-party integrations.
  • Knowledge of multiple SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PM, EAM, SCM, HR, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with SAP testing tools and automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with agile, waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • SAP, ISTQB, or project management certifications (PMP, Agile) are highly desirable.
