Job Description

Location: Toronto - Remote

The key job responsibilities:
  • Experience in SAP HANA development, particularly with XSA (XS Advanced).
  • Providing technical guidance and expertise in SAP HANA XSA development, including design, development, performance optimization of HANA objects (e.g., calculation views, stored procedures) and security requirements
  • Managing the end-to-end delivery of SAP HANA XSA projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to quality standards, and alignment with project goals.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of SAP HANA XSA developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Strong understanding of SAP HANA architecture, data modeling, and development tools (e.g., SAP Web IDE, HANA Studio).
  • Experience with data provisioning techniques like SLT, SDA, and SDI.
  • Knowledge of SAP UI5 or Fiori or AO or other front-end technologies for SAP HANA development.
  • Experience in performance tuning and optimization of HANA database artifacts.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., SAP BTP) and their integration with HANA is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex business concepts in non- technical terms.
  • Work with Business in getting the requirements, sign off, and support End to End Delivery.
  • Support and coordinate the efforts of Subject Matter Experts, Development, Quality Assurance, Usability, Training, Transport Management, and other internal resources for the successful implementation of system enhancements and fixes
  • Able to understand SAP S4 and HANA Transports & Understanding in ChaRM is good to have.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation and end-user training materials as needed.
  • Liaise with a learning group to provide input into training materials
  • Provide input to standards and guidelines and implement best practices to enable consistency across all projects
  • Participate in the continuous improvement processes, as assigned
  • Team mentoring and team management experience is desirable.
  • Working on Agile/Scrum Methodology is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills, as well as communication and interpersonal skills, is required.
  • Meet the SLA for fixing the issue.
  • Responsible to address Query or concern from business independently
  • Prior experience in FICO or understanding of FI tables, transactions/processes involved is plus.
  • Setting batch jobs as and when required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex business concepts in non- technical terms.
 
The key skills required:
  • Specialized knowledge and expertise in the HANA Native Development and API development for Reporting.
  • Implement the Best coding practices by exploring the latest features and guide the team
  • Build synergies with cross functional teams.
  • Own technical delivery adhering to standards and process.
  • Ensure adherence to SLA for all production support tickets.
  • Identify and escalate issues with respective teams.
  • Ability to review technical/functional documentation.
  • Be proactive can keep communication going to respective stakeholders as and when needed.
  • Identify the right talent and retain them.
  • Ability to mentor and manage teams.
  • Drive the initiatives like process excellence
  • Lead Code review and Build relations with cross functional teams
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts. Ability to prioritize the work by working with the Functional team and Customers
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile, Scrum, SAFe methodologies and tools ADO, Focus Build is plus, but not mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex business concepts in non-technical terms.
