Job Description
Location: Toronto, ON (100% remote)
Length of Contract: 6 months
Hours of work: 40 hrs/wk
Roles and Responsibilities
- The candidate will be expected to lead regular status meetings to connect project threads, uncover potential risks/issues and track progress.
- Understand business strategy and objectives by studying the business function, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Participate in product and feature evaluations and create a formal business case as required.
- Elicits and documents requirements to meet business needs.
- Possess understanding of business analysis professional standards, business processes, workflows, methodologies and leading practices.
- Direct and monitor business analysis activities to ensure the traceability and optimum coverage of business requirements with change request backlog.
- Manage the progress of projects by tracking activity, resolving issues, and recommending actions.
- Provides senior management and project management with regular updates on deliverable timeline and project status.
- Respond proactively to both business and project issues and escalates appropriately. Post on knowledge sharing and team collaboration sites.
- Shares best practices internally/externally.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business analysis within a fast-paced or large, global organization.
- Exceptional communication skills with strong executive presence.
- Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas.
- Strong project, time, and organizational management capabilities.
- Proven research and analytical skills, with confidence in delivering insights and actionable recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to produce high-quality, impactful deliverables.
- Foundational understanding of Microsoft 365 administration.
- Solid working knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft Copilot, and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
- Fundamental understanding of Generative AI technologies, including AI agents.
- Energetic, adaptable, and proactive professional with strong influencing and persuasion skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with cross-cultural teams, with the ability to adapt to diverse working styles and cultural expectations.
- Ability to remain composed and effective in high-volume, deadline-driven environments, applying a practical and results-oriented approach.
- Strong understanding of business challenges, with the ability to drive change and innovation to enhance the client experience.
- Proven ability to operate effectively within complex, highly matrixed organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, required.
- Advanced degree and relevant professional services training considered an asset.
- IIBA certification(s) are an advantage but not required.
