Position Overview
The Senior Enterprise Data Migration Lead is accountable for the strategy, governance, and end-to-end execution of data migration across multiple large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA, Asset Suite 9, ECC, analytics, cloud, and regulatory platforms.

This role operates at the enterprise program level, requiring deep technical expertise, strong business process knowledge across Finance, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), and the ability to align migration activities with OPG’s enterprise data architecture, governance, and analytics ecosystem.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted leader and authority, guiding data migration teams, system integrators, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate, secure, and auditable data transitions that enable long-term data quality, compliance, and analytics value.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Migration Strategy & Delivery
  • Define and deliver the enterprise data migration strategy across ERP, cloud, analytics, regulatory, and business platform initiatives.
  • Lead early-phase migration assessments, scope definition, dependency mapping, and sequencing across concurrent transformation programs.
  • Establish standardized migration frameworks, checkpoints, and governance models to ensure consistency and repeatability.
Data Governance, Quality & Tooling
  • Lead migration efforts across Finance, SCM, and EAM domains using industry-leading data governance and migration tools (e.g., Collibra, Data Lake platforms).
  • Oversee data profiling, lineage, quality validation, reconciliation, and historical data archiving at scale.
  • Implement automated data quality controls and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness throughout the migration lifecycle.
Technology Integration & Architecture Alignment
  • Ensure ERP connectors, integration technologies, and supporting tools enable robust extraction of data and metadata, auditability, and traceability.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects to align migration and integration designs with OPG’s data lake, analytics, and governance architectures.
  • Validate that migration architectures are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with future enterprise technology investments.
Stakeholder & Program Leadership
  • Partner with business data owners and subject matter experts to define data stewardship models, ownership, and sign-off processes.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud teams to ensure secure and compliant data movement across on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Work closely with system integrators, platform teams, and legacy system owners to align cutover, validation, fallback, and go-live strategies.
Reporting & Transparency
  • Develop and manage dashboards and executive reporting on migration progress, data quality metrics, risk, and go-live readiness.
  • Provide clear visibility into migration health and readiness for program leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise data management, with 5+ years leading data migration for large-scale ERP or enterprise transformation programs.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data architecture, SAP MDG, and cross-platform data integration.
  • Strong business process understanding across Finance, Supply Chain, and Asset Management.
  • Proven experience with data governance, lineage, and migration tooling, including Collibra, Data Lake platforms, and ERP connectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to automate data validation, reconciliation, and metadata comparison across legacy and target systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills in complex, high-stakes delivery environments.
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • SAP certifications in Data Migration, S/4HANA System Administration, or Master Data Governance.
  • Data governance or management certifications (e.g., DAMA/COMP, Collibra Ranger, Informatica Certified Professional).
  • Cloud data engineering certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) highly valued.
  • Data integration certifications (Informatica, Talend, SAP Data Services).
  • Project or Agile certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, SAFe) considered an asset.
