The project transitions all dependent applications to Alberta.ca accounts, establishing a single, modern identity platform for external access to government systems. The work requires close coordination with application teams and cybersecurity stakeholders to assess existing authentication integrations, define required changes, and guide systems through readiness, development, testing, and implementation. The project improves security, governance, and traceability by enabling standardized vulnerability scanning and consistent DevOps practices. The Project Manager leads repository assessments, migration planning, and execution in collaboration with application service owners, technical teams, and vendors. Migration activities are prioritized based on application risk and value, ensuring alignment with the Technology Debt Mitigation program and enterprise DevOps security standards.

Project 3: SPO Migration Project
The SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint Online Migration Project modernizes the GOA’s enterprise content management platform by moving more than 18,000 legacy SharePoint sites to Microsoft’s cloud based SharePoint Online service.
